IndUS Plastics, Inc. is a tool for facilitating
the exchange of products and know-how between India and North America.
India is the 4th largest economy in the world and the 2nd fastest
growing. It will present multiple opportunities and challenges for
North American based businesses. It is already a fast growing source
of low cost components and it will become an attractive market in
its own right as its own demand for products internally grows.
Indian companies will look to North America for market penetration
to support their investments which will eventually fuel their own
internal appetites for products and services associated with developed
economies. North American based corporations cannot afford to ignore
the potentials for cost saves short term in India, and market participation
long term.
IndUS Plastics was founded by Robert Chaplin to help companies
make the right connections in both markets. Mr. Chaplin is the founder
of Jenerxx, Inc,
set up in 2000 to assist US companies with the alternative sourcing
of plastic resins and compounds. IndUS Plastics is a logical extension
of this activity. He feels that India, with a highly educated executive
and engineering class, can provide partners in sourcing who will
be easy to communicate with and with who close and trusting relationships
can be formed.
As in all business relationships, picking the right partners is
critical. IndUS Plastics assists in making this selection successful. |
